Currency data extraction engine?

Hi,

Regarding this issue [1] can anyone explain further about what needs to be
done for the engine, what features would need to be implemented as a base?

You might want to read the email thread [2] related to STANBOL-1281.
Not sure if Tharindu Rusira has done some work on the proposed engine.
