[ANNOUNCE] Hudi Weekly Community Update (2020-01-20 ~ 2020-01-27)

Dear community,

Nice to share Hudi community weekly update for 2020-01-20 ~ 2020-01-27 with
updates on development, features. The community is mainly focus on the
releasing 0.5.1-incubating(including some docs update) this week.


Development

[Relase] Hudi 0.5.1-incubating RC1 has been cut and the community has
unanimously approved this release, now voting is opened in general@incubator
to make the final pass, 0.5.1-incubating is hopefully released in schedule.
[Code Cleanup] A discussion to unify Hudi code cleanup and improvement
regarding there are many MINOR PRs which changes much code and may not
fullly tested, the disscussion aims to organize these PRs in a more
reasonable way, and it is under discussion, please chime in if you have
more thoughts.[1]
[Architecture ] A disscussion about redrawing hudi data lake architecture
diagram on landing page, which would make the hudi's clearer, the community
reached a consensus on the idea and the PR is merged. [2]
