Apache Mentors for Google Summer of Code

Hi all,

There's a project to help students become involved with open source and The Apache Software Foundation is one of the organizations where students can find a mentor.
https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/organizations/
https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/how-it-works/

As Apache committers, we can propose ideas for students to work on and add labels to Jiras. Students can then spend 3 months working on these ideas and receive a stipend for their time and gain invaluable knowledge.
If you want to contribute, feel free to propose ideas or even sign up to become a mentor.

Cheers,
Alejandro Fernandez
