downloaded latest TomEE 1.5.2 plus snapshot and running good/better
(as usual)
I just downloaded latest snapshot and running on test/dev and production
servers... TomEE still running good. Seems a bit faster.
Sometime, within the last few days, the thought came to mind that I don't
really need to copy the following JARs to tomee/lib, so today (this
morning), when I downloaded and installed latest snapshot, I decided to
omit these 2 JARs, and 'not' copy them to tomee/lib.
el-api-2.2.jar
el-impl-2.2.jar
Earlier on and for some reason, I added those JARs when I was migrating
from Glassfish 3.1.2.2 to TomEE 1.5.1. I think I added them because I think
it is necessary to add them to tomcat/lib, but OpenWebBeans came to mind
recently, and I said to myself, (TomEE = OpenWebBeans, and) OpenWebBeans =
EL implementation, so I should not need Glassfish's EL api/impl JARs. :)
Tested the app, and the app feels 'faster', but TomEE has been running
(really really) good (and seems to have been running faster) on the Windows
2003 Server 32bit 4GB RAM production server.
No complaints at all... sometime soon, I just really want to add SSL and do
what David Blevins recommended to me earlier... run 2 instances of the web
app (I'm assuming with Apache httpd) and implement a L2 cache. :)
In the meanwhile, I've been doing some 'light' reading about tomcat and
apache httpd (clustering tomcat) and tuning in on the tomcat
discussions/questions related to that (and SSL, too, of course).
