Feature Request Handling in JIRA
Hi all,
Just back from vacation and catching up with the bug lists for eclipse,
cruisecontrol, and hibernate. I noticed, especially for eclipse plugin,
that there are lots of bugs listed that are "feature" requests, but with no
patches etc. A lot of them have the feel of being very "specific" to one
person's usage of the plugin.
Since I don't have a specific desire for some of these features, I probably
won't get around to implementing them. Should I just mark them in the Issue
Type column as "Wish" and not worry about them? Maybe purge them out if
nothing happens in 6 months? Maybe attempting to have a bug list of 0 is
unrealistic, but it sure looks nice! There are quite a few very stagnant
issues for some of the plugins and make it seem like the plugin isn't
maintained.
