[jira] [Created] (SOLR-6701) Document deletion should return the
number of records deleted
Abu Dhabi created SOLR-6701:
-------------------------------
Summary: Document deletion should return the number of records deleted
Key: SOLR-6701
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-6701
Project: Solr
Issue Type: Wish
Components: clients - java
Affects Versions: 4.10.1
Reporter: Abu Dhabi
Priority: Minor
As currently implemented, there's no way (AFAIK) for a user to determine whether a deletion actually did anything, just whether there were any errors - lack of matching records to delete does not constitute one.
I would like to request that Solr or SolrJ return the number of rows deleted by a given command.
