[jira] [Created] (YUNIKORN-3527) Add unit tests for rejection paths in ClusterContext application and allocation handling
TingYao Huang created YUNIKORN-3527:
---------------------------------------
Summary: Add unit tests for rejection paths in ClusterContext application and allocation handling
Key: YUNIKORN-3527
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YUNIKORN-3527
Project: Apache YuniKorn
Issue Type: Test
Components: core - scheduler, test - unit
Reporter: TingYao Huang
The following paths in ClusterContext, where a request from the RM is rejected and reported back to the RM, have no test coverage (master @ 048abb8). Existing tests only cover accepted requests and placement rejection.
*handleRMUpdateApplicationEvent()*
# Application rejected because its partition does not exist. [L512-L523|https://github.com/apache/yunikorn-core/blob/048abb81c372910237980d90919f1903eabaaf2f/pkg/scheduler/context.go#L512-L523]
# Application rejected because its user cannot be converted (invalid user name); it should also be recorded as a rejected application in the partition. [L526-L538|https://github.com/apache/yunikorn-core/blob/048abb81c372910237980d90919f1903eabaaf2f/pkg/scheduler/context.go#L526-L538]
*processAllocations()*
# Allocation rejected because its partition does not exist. [L741-L755|https://github.com/apache/yunikorn-core/blob/048abb81c372910237980d90919f1903eabaaf2f/pkg/scheduler/context.go#L741-L755]
# Allocation rejected by PartitionContext.UpdateAllocation(), e.g. unknown application. This path runs in the integration tests, but no test asserts that the rejection is reported. [L759-L786|https://github.com/apache/yunikorn-core/blob/048abb81c372910237980d90919f1903eabaaf2f/pkg/scheduler/context.go#L759-L786]
