my status

hi y'all,

i've subscribed to the infrastructure list at apache.org and posted a
request about moving the bugs. i'm not seeing any response yet, but that
could be due to t-giving. i'm thinking we should ping some of the other
incubatee committers and see what they did. i can't imagine this is
going to be difficult. i'm sure there's a simple way to export from one
bug db and import to the other.

i've figured out how to update the project website. basically, our
project website is stored in cvs. forrest isn't involved with generating
our project website. it does affect the 'status' page, or more
specifically this page http://incubator.apache.org/projects/juddi.html.
this file maps within the incubator cvs project to
incubator/site/projects/juddi.cwiki. it's text based, with some syntax
for denoting headings, list elements, etc.

if you take a look at the AltRMI site,
http://incubator.apache.org/projects/altrmi/ you'll see an example of a
working project website. the context projects/altrmi maps witin the
incubator-site cvs project to
incubator-site/build/site/projects/altrmi/. i need to create a sibling
project directory named juddi and populate that. this site is all static
afaict and simply stored in the cvs repository. the altrmi folks may be
using a tool to generate the site, but if they are, the sources are not
themselves stored in incubator or incubator site. cvs is running on one
of the apache infrastructure boxes and a co is run daily to update the
site.

speaking of turkeys, i'm going on vacation until about dec 4th, so i'm
not going to get anything done the rest of this week :D ... feel the
weight of the world lifting... ;)

i'll target getting these two things finished by the end of the first
week in december.

cheers,
andy

Thanks for the update Andy (sounds like we're in good hands).

Have a great holiday.
