[PR] Improve provider package metadata generation [airflow]
potiuk opened a new pull request, #37741:
URL: https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/37741
There were a few small issues with provider metadata:
* new providers that have never been included in constraints got 2.0.0 version of airflow associated
* providers that were present in constraints of several airflow versions got associated with the "latest" version that got them in constraints
* provider's metadata generation was serialized and took a bit more than a minute to run - which was pretty slow
This PR fixes all those issues:
* providers which were never included in constraints are added to the first version of airflow released after the provider version was released
* if there is no version of airflow released yet after provider is released, the provider got associated with latest released version of airflow
* when provider is present in multiple constraints, provider is associated with the OLDEST airflow release that had it in constraints
* we are using multiprocessing to run provider metadata retrieval in parallel - effectively speeding up the retrieval (after airflow versions were retrieved and constraints refreshed) to less than 10 seconds.

Yeah. Switching off such provider for now will be a better way to do it (it would correct itself automatically later on but yes likely we can just ignore such version.

I think there is edge case with fab provider?
According to this rule fab will get 2.8.2 but its not compatible with 2.8.2
i think we need to take under advisement also the min version of airflow defined in the provider yaml
