Collaboration Opportunity – Tendenci & ASF Tooling Initiative

[Shirley Rodríguez <co...@tendenci.com.INVALID>]

Dear (ASF) Apache Software Foundation,
Our small, women-driven team behind Tendenci – The Open Source Association
Management Software is excited to learn about the ASF Initiatives program
and the launch of the Tooling Initiative
<https://alpha-omega.dev/blog/the-apache-software-foundation-announces-new-fundraising-program-to-support-mission-critical-initiatives-for-open-source-projects/>.
We are reaching out to explore ways we can support each other as we all
navigate the challenges of securing resources within the open-source
ecosystem. Your focus on streamlining development, reducing technical debt,
and enhancing collaboration aligns closely with our mission to empower
mission-driven communities, nonprofits, and associations. As a mature,
enterprise open-source solution built with Python, Django, and PostgreSQL,
Tendenci offers automation and efficiency through event management,
membership tracking, and communication tools to reduce repetitive tasks. We
also foster collaboration and community engagement through content
management, discussion forums, and fundraising tools that can help ASF
projects grow. With a strong focus on security and compliance, Tendenci
aligns with global standards like GDPR and the EU’s Cyber Resilience Act
(CRA), supporting ASF’s security enhancement goals. Additionally, our
built-in fundraising and donor management tools could help ASF meet its
$500,000 funding goal while ensuring long-term sustainability. Since both
ASF and Tendenci share a commitment to open-source innovation, we’d love to
explore how we can collaborate to strengthen the open-source ecosystem
together. Would you be open to a discussion? Looking forward to your
thoughts.

Best regards,
TendenciDEV Team
