Xalan documentatio

Is there any documentation for Xalan classes (outside of what is on the
web site of course)? It toook me a little playing around to figure that
XPathInitialize had to be persistant. It would be nice to know what some
of thses classes are doing. The code is almost impossible to figure
out.  thanks...charlie
