replicating content to apache servers
Hi All,
I would like to get some expert advice on the following issue. I need to
distribute "static" content to various "intranet" apache web servers
located globally, so that users are always d/l from there local websites. I
know I can use CDN for this puprpose. However I would like to look into
some alternative ways to do this.
I was thinking of having one master server, and pushing out the static
content to other 25 apache servers using RSYNC. And then use 3DNS boxes to
point the client machines to their local servers. Is that feasible? Or is
there a better solution?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Saqib Ali

Depending on your level of acces (and OS), rdist, rsync are basice Unix
tools, you could even use CVS, also check http://freshmeat.net I'm sure
there are a nuber of tools to sync webite (maybe sitemanager?).
