   @wuchong I am not sure if an additional `Z` (or explicit timezone) is such a hassle for users. I really think specifying instants should be as explicit as possible. Otherwise the results e.g. depend on the client machine clock or server machine clock and errors in that are extremely hard to track. 
   
   That said I think splitting that to a separate issue is a good idea.
