[jira] Created: (WAGON-331) Upgrade Wagon to use Java5 compatible
libraries and finally drop old dependencies
Upgrade Wagon to use Java5 compatible libraries and finally drop old dependencies
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: WAGON-331
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/WAGON-331
Project: Maven Wagon
Issue Type: Improvement
Affects Versions: 2.0
Reporter: Mark Struberg
I created a wagon-1.x branch for being able to maintain maven-2.0.x features (even if its unlikely that this will ever happen).
Wagon-2.x is requiring java >= 5 and thus we can (should!) drop old dependencies (e.g. avalon framework deps) and upgrade to the latest and greatest versions.
See WAGON-329 for an initial patch (starting point only).

Mark Struberg closed WAGON-331.
-------------------------------
Resolution: Fixed
* upgraded plugins and dependencies to the respective newest versions in maven-parent-19.
* maven-parent got upgraded from 16 to 19
* plexus-maven-plugin got upgraded to the latest version and necessary changes got implemented
* old avalon parts got dropped
* using Apache MINA ftpserver for wagon-ftp unit tests now
* drop explicit (and inconsistent) versioning in the submodule poms and use dependencyManagement
