newbie: how to save on disk

Hi
Could someone tell me how I can save a stream generated by Cocoon2 to the
disk in my xsp/jsp code.
I'm only beginner on java, and all I could find on file management is the
java documentation which is really chinese to me.
I'm using Tomcat4b5 and Cocoon2, and it seems to be the jsp / Tomcat part
that can deal with saving on disk.
Thanks for any answer, I'm getting a bit desperate not to find any tutorial
on this simple thing.
