Workgroup

Hello --

I have been using jspWiki for about five years in two different companies. I'm running jspWiki 2.6.2 now, and I've seen "Workgroup" under the "More..." menu. Further investigation showed that this could be a useful tool, but I can find no implementation instructions outside of developer code.

How is this implemented? Does it run under 2.6.2?

Considering it does not exist yet, it might be possible. Can you and
Andrew work on this together, since you obviously share an interest?

This is the only reason we are not moving forward with our workflow
solution. Any chance the change is simple enough for me to port it into
2.x?

Hi -- I assume you meant "workflow."

At the moment, JSPWiki has built-in support for two workflows:
approval of page edits, and approval of new user accounts. The
jspwiki.properties file documents how to set these up.

Other workflows are limited only by what you can imagine, and yes,
require programming to achieve.

JSPWiki 3 will fix a bunch of underlying issues that are preventing
workflow from being more widely used, chiefly persistence (or lack
thereof) between webapp restarts.

In the meantime, the jspwiki.properties file should help you get
started with what's already there.

Karl:

I'm assuming you mean workflow. I'm trying to post an example of using
this, but I'm a little behind right now. I did post a simple example to
this forum a couple of months back (September). I'll try to post to the
wiki this week.
