[jira] [Comment Edited] (CASSANDRA-7933) Update cassandra-stress README

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-7933?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14274326#comment-14274326 ]

Philip Thompson edited comment on CASSANDRA-7933 at 1/12/15 10:51 PM:
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I've given the README a quick update, just so that it no longer contains only correct information accurate for the 2.1 stress. I agree with adding everything [~aweisberg] suggested, but I don't have experience with new stress beyond the very basic read/write commands.

If the README should contain more than a basic overview of options, then it would probably be best to reassign this ticket. However, I do feel that shipping 2.1.3 with a completely useless README is unacceptable, given that the README will have been out of date since 2.1.0. Given that, I would like to suggest opening a new ticket for 'Adding advanced use guide to cassandra-stress README' to ensure that the minor, but necessary changes I have made make it into the impending 2.1.3 release as part of this ticket, giving Ariel or Benedict time to add more advanced documentation.
