[jira] [Created] (NETBEANS-2041) Sorting multi row tabs for the same project

Christian Lenz created NETBEANS-2041:
----------------------------------------

Summary: Sorting multi row tabs for the same project
                 Key: NETBEANS-2041
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-2041
             Project: NetBeans
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: platform - Window System
    Affects Versions: 10.0
            Reporter: Christian Lenz

In Netbeans there is an option -> appearance to "sort opened documents list by project". This is cool but it is only working for the opened documents list, which is in the upper right, the little triangle.

What I really like to have is to sort the open tabs to the same project. I have > 27 tabs open and I use the colors to identify the tab to each project.

For me I see:

first row: yellow, yellow, violett, normal, blue,...
second row: yellow, violett, violett....

An option to sort open tabs to the same project would expect this behaviour:

first row: yellow, yellow, yellow, normal, blue
second row: violett, violett, violett

Regards

Chris
