[jira] [Commented] (OAK-1906) Adding information to a Standard MBean interface using annotations

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-1906?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14040793#comment-14040793 ]

Michael Dürig commented on OAK-1906:
------------------------------------

Although nice, I'm a bit reluctant putting this into Oak. This should rather be a library on its own IMO. Also I'm a bit afraid regarding the maintenance effort as there is a lot of reflection magic going on here and there will be quite some changes (and probably issues along with that) with Java 8 and lambdas.

> With StandardMBean support the JMX operations loose the parameter names. To improve the usability it would be helpful to have Annotation support to provide meaningful parameter names. One such approach is described at [1]
