programmatic locking im multiple tomcat's boxes

Hello!

What will be the best way to implement the 'Locker' object in
clustered Tomcat environment?
The purpose of that object is to allow only one 'user' in a time to
access specific resource.
The idea is to share the same Java class across multiple boxes with
Tomcat.

Any input will be helpful!
