[users@httpd] Change DocumentRoot dynamically w/ each HTTP Request?

I am trying to figure out the best way to change DocumentRoot on the fly
with each new http request.

I have tried using mod_vhost_alias with VirtualDocumentRoot, but they do
not provide me with enough of the URI structure for my needs (I need the
complete URI--domain, directories, file, query, etc).

I have also tried using mod_rewrite, but as far as I can see values read
using RewriteRules cannot be passed specifically to DocumentRoot.

I am interested in others ideas on how to best change DocumentRoot
dynamically with each and every request.

All ideas and suggestions are welcome.

Thank you for your help.

Respectfully,

Gary
