----------------------------------
Resolution: Incomplete
> Make the use of the default database more explicit
> --------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: SPARK-17083
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-17083
> Project: Spark
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: SQL
> Affects Versions: 2.1.0
> Reporter: Herman van Hovell
> Assignee: Herman van Hovell
> Priority: Major
> Labels: bulk-closed
>
> We currently use the current database in various commands. Most commands do not make the use of this database explicit, and resolve this as part of their logic. This has a few downsides: it makes it harder to analyze usage logs, and the resolution logic is repeated in various places.
