Pyzor and Spamassassin 3.0.6
Hello.
This is driving me nuts. After installing DCC, Razor2 and Pyzor and
then running:
spamassassin -D < sample-spam.txt
at the end of the test, I get:
debug:
tests=AWL,DCC_CHECK,DIGEST_MULTIPLE,DNS_FROM_AHBL_RHSBL,GTUBE,NO_RECEIVED,NO_RELAYS,RAZOR2_CF_RANGE_51_100,RAZOR2_CHECK
plus:
X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=1002.8 required=5.0 tests=AWL,DCC_CHECK,
DIGEST_MULTIPLE,DNS_FROM_AHBL_RHSBL,GTUBE,NO_RECEIVED,NO_RELAYS,
RAZOR2_CF_RANGE_51_100,RAZOR2_CHECK autolearn=no version=3.0.6
X-Spam-Report:
* -0.0 NO_RELAYS Informational: message was not relayed via SMTP
* 1000 GTUBE BODY: Generic Test for Unsolicited Bulk Email
* 1.5 RAZOR2_CF_RANGE_51_100 BODY: Razor2 gives confidence
level above 50%
* [cf: 100]
* 0.1 RAZOR2_CHECK Listed in Razor2 (http://razor.sf.net/)
* 1.4 DCC_CHECK Listed in DCC (http://rhyolite.com/anti-spam/dcc/)
* 0.1 DNS_FROM_AHBL_RHSBL RBL: From: sender listed in
dnsbl.ahbl.org
* 0.2 DIGEST_MULTIPLE Message hits more than one network digest
check
* -0.0 NO_RECEIVED Informational: message has no Received headers
* -0.5 AWL AWL: From: address is in the auto white-list
but there is no mention of PYZOR adding to the score whatsoever (unless
it's "hidden" in DIGEST_MUTIPLE perhaps?), even though, in the output of
`spamassassin -D < sample-spam.txt', it says:
debug: Pyzor is available: /usr/bin/pyzor
debug: entering helper-app run mode
debug: Pyzor: got response: 82.94.255.100:24441 (200, 'OK') 1 0
debug: leaving helper-app run mode
Any ideas?
Thanks.

I'm wondering why you're setting up 3.0.6 instead of something more modern.

The sample-spam message is only listed once in pyzor. (that's the first
number in the response).
The default setting of pyzor_max requires the message to be listed at
least 5 times in pyzor to cause a hit.
If you want to see pyzor hit, try a different message that's actually
spam in-circulation.
Please remember, sample-spam is not intended to be a "matches all rules"
thing. It's only guaranteed to be marked as spam by spamassassin.
