[Bug 124103] New: Table broken into two-columns appears in one column only after file reopen

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124103

            Bug ID: 124103
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Table broken into two-columns appears in one column
                    only after file reopen
           Product: Writer

          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows XP
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: formatting
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org

The document with 2-column layer and table broken into columns

This bug seems to be similar to the old 5947 bug. In 2-columns layout, a table
which is broken into two columns, is after file reopen consolidated in the
second column, leaving blank space in the bottom of the first column.

Reproducing the bug:
1. Open attached file - table will show consolidated in the second page, left
column
2. Place cursor at the end of the text in the right column of the first page,
insert new line (Enter key). The table will return to this column. You may (or
may not) remove the just inserted new line.
3. Save the file and open: the table is misplaced again.

This bug was present already in OO 3.x versions.

[Bug 124103] Table which breaks between linked frames is completely in second frame after reload

You are right, thanks. The layout is a bit awkward, however it is an official
company document so it must respected at least for some time. It should work
anyway.

--- Comment #2 from Regina Henschel <rb...@t-online.de> ---
It is not a two column design. The page has only 1 column and a section is used
neither. But the document uses linked frames. I have changed the summary to
reflect this. I use AOO410m1(Build:9750)-Rev. 1554205 on Windows 7.

[@phajciar: The layout solution is strange. It seems to mimic of brochure
layout, although AOO is able to create brochures itself. I would expect a page
size of DIN A5 portrait. Perhaps you discuss this on user mailing list or
forum?]
