Minutes of the Woden Status Telecon, 2006-08-08
Attendees: Lawrence Mandel, John Kaputin, Jeremy Hughes, Graham Turrell
Minutes
1. Open Action Items - Lawrence Mandel
2006-08-01 - John will put together a tentative M6 plan.
2006-08-08
John: Done.
Closed.
2006-08-01 Jeremy will post a vote to the list about moving the trunk
location.
2006-08-08
Jeremy: Done. I've already moved the source to trunk. I've included
instructions in the Jira on updating your workspace Woden-48.
Closed.
2. M6 Status - Lawrence Mandel
John: I included the Jiras I think should go into the next milestone. I
don't know that everything is achievable. I'll need to hear from the
developers what they think they can accomplish. The user guide on the
Woden website is for M3/M4. This needs to be updated. This might be good
for the wiki.
Lawrence: One drawback of using the wiki is I don't think there is a good
way to work off-line. I don't think this should necessarily keep us from
using the wiki.
John: I'd like to treat the tests in the plan as unit tests on the API.
Woden functional testing will be primarily covered by the W3C test suite.
John: Lawrence, what is the intent of Woden-38?
Lawrence: To extract the full test suite and check against the metadata.
To be useful this also requires more tests in the W3C test suite.
John: How does the end of Sept. sounds for M6? Should we do a release
earlier?
Graham: I've seen some posts about Axis2 doing a release. They may need an
update of Woden.
[action] Graham will follow up with Axis2 to find out a date for their
next release.
Lawrence: I think our releases should focus on our two clients at this
point. If Axis2 is having a release and wants and update we should do a
release. We should also do a release before the next W3C interop event.
3.Development Discussion - All
No development issues were raised on the call.
4. Other Business - Open
Lawrence: What are everyone's vacation plans for the remainder of the
summer and the M6 release time frame? I'm away Aug. 28-Sept. 20.
John: I'm away Aug. 10-15, Aug. 28-30.
Graham: I'm away Aug. 21-25.
[action] Other Woden developers should update the team with their vacation
plans for M6 to assist in M6 planning.
Thanks,
Lawrence Mandel
