[jira] [Created] (FLUME-2038) Create a design around a
transformation language around sinks
Saikat Kanjilal created FLUME-2038:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Create a design around a transformation language around sinks
Key: FLUME-2038
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLUME-2038
Project: Flume
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Sinks+Sources
Affects Versions: v1.3.1
Reporter: Saikat Kanjilal
The goal of this JIRA is to collaborate on a design to create a generic set of transformations around a sink. A sink should be able to iterate through the list of transformations and understand natively what each transformation means in the context of performing a write to the underlying data store. Here's an example, given a simple json list of transformations one should be able to iterate through each transformation and perform the write of one event to multiple data stores. I'd like to get feedback from the community on what currently exists and then come up with a strategy/design around solving this problem.
