[jira] [Commented] (MESOS-5594) Merge release-plan and download
pages
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MESOS-5594?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15334465#comment-15334465 ]
Jie Yu commented on MESOS-5594:
-------------------------------
The approach I'll take is to use JIRA as the main tool to track releases.
I did some cleanup on JIRA and included release managers in the description
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MESOS?selectedTab=com.atlassian.jira.jira-projects-plugin:versions-panel&subset=-1
The major features listed in the release planning page can actually be retrieved from CHANGELOG. Therefore, I plan to link to the corresponding CHANGELOG.

> It duplicates data from Downloads, maybe it could be merged into one page.

> This is slightly different from Downloads, because it might also contains information about a future release (e.g., what will be the major feature expected for a future release).
> I agree with you that there's some duplication right now. Let's create a ticket to track the merge of these two pages. Once that's resolved, we can use the same link from the home page? An alternative is have a link in the download page to point to this page. But I like the idea of merging the Download page with this!
