I am managing the 1.2.0 release and we currently have more than 600 issues targeted for 1.2.0. I am moving the target field to 1.3.0.

Right now, the cache expiry is time based as well sized as per the no of parallel write chunks possible in the datanode. In case of optimal throughput, we may need to tune to it to a fraction of heap configured for the datanode process.
