Re: Distributed testing

Posted by Deepak Shetty <sh...@gmail.com>.
Just to take a step back
You have two options

a. Run Jmeter in distributed mode(master/slave). in this case your test
begins when you start it from the JMeter master. There is no need for a
scheduler in this case
OR
b. You run each jmeter separately , standalone, and start them at the same
time

what option are you trying out?

Re: Distributed testing

Posted by Deepak Shetty <sh...@gmail.com>.
you can specify a time on the ThreadGroup. Check the scheduler box and you
will get options to specify the time.

However what I meant use windows Task scheduler to start up separate jmeter
instances at a predefined time on different machines (or perhaps at exactly
the same time). This means not using the distributed test functionality of
Jmeter , you will run each jmeter instance by itself

>i got connection refused error.
You really need to provide better information if you expect people to
diagnose your problems. What did you do , where did you get this error, at
what step , what log did you see.
