This also creates issues in float to Double conversion as well.
{code:scala}
    val schema = StructType(Seq(
      StructField("a", DoubleType, true)
    ))
    val rdd = spark.sparkContext.parallelize(Seq(Row(1.1f)))

    val df = spark.createDataFrame(rdd, schema)
    df.show
