Incubator PMC/Board report for March 2011 (easyant-dev@incubator.apache.org)
Dear EasyAnt Developers,
This email was sent by an automated system on behalf of the Apache Incubator PMC.
It is an initial reminder to give you plenty of time to prepare your quarterly
board report.
The board meeting is scheduled for Wed, 16 March 2011, 10 am Pacific. The report
for your podling will form a part of the Incubator PMC report. The Incubator PMC
requires your report to be submitted one week before the board meeting, to allow
sufficient time for review.
Please submit your report with sufficient time to allow the incubator PMC, and
subsequently board members to review and digest. Again, the very latest you
should submit your report is one week prior to the board meeting.
Thanks,
The Apache Incubator PMC
Submitting your Report
----------------------
Your report should contain the following:
* Your project name
* A brief description of your project, which assumes no knowledge of the project
or necessarily of its field
* A list of the three most important issues to address in the move towards
graduation.
* Any issues that the Incubator PMC or ASF Board might wish/need to be aware of
* How has the community developed since the last report
* How has the project developed since the last report.
This should be appended to the Incubator Wiki page at:
http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/March2011
Note: This manually populated. You may need to wait a little before this page is
created from a template.
Mentors
-------
Mentors should review reports for their project(s) and sign them off on the
Incubator wiki page. Signing off reports shows that you are following the
project - projects that are not signed may raise alarms for the Incubator PMC.

You are right, he sent his ICLA on Feb 18th. Sorry for the noise.

Siddhartha's account was requested shortly after his ICLA had been
recorded. Please keep in mind that most our infra guys are volunteers
as well so things sometimes take time.
The account has been created last night (European time) and I've enabled
svn access a few minutes ago. Siddhartha told Antoine and me that he
won't be available for some time, though.

My bad i didn't see the notice in the guide
"It may take a few hours before the live website is sync'd. See other
notes<http://www.apache.org/dev/project-site.html>about this step. "

IMHO it would be better to have a second pair of eyes and I volunteer to
provide it.

When I changed the ASL headers to use the ASF one, I checked nearly every files, even ran RAP against the whole tree. I remember finding some third party license which were MIT ones. So for me it is OK. How do we formalize that check ? Just by mailing that I have done it ?

The first one isn't complete until we hear from Jason (or remove his
contributions).
At least I haven't done anything for the second part - quite possible
that there isn't anything to do, but I haven't verified that either.
Anybody else?
As for the third part I think it talks about the incubator page so
consider it done.

Thansk for the links
I updated the status page following the guide. I connected to
people.apache.org and updated the /www/incubator.apache.org however i don't
see my modifications. Is there any delay to be published ? Did i miss
something?
@PMC I've not updated the "Interim+responsibility" section as i have no date
there.
A few points to check :
- Check and make sure that the papers that transfer rights to the ASF
been received. It is only necessary to transfer rights for the package, the
core code, and any new code produced by the project.
- Check and make sure that for all code included with the distribution
that is not under the Apache license, we have the right to combine with
Apache-licensed code and redistribute.
- Add all active committers in the STATUS file. What is the STATUS file ?
the incubator one ? a new file in easyant svn repository ?
Can we consider this done ?

Hi all,
EasyAnt will be on a monthly reporting schedule for the first three
months, after that it goes into a quarterly schedule for as long as it
takes to graduate EasyAnt.
The initial report in February has been put together by Antoine but it
is the committers duty to go on with it.

This means the report has to be ready in
<http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/March2011> by the 9th. Please let us
mentors know when you deem it ready so we can review it.
While you are at it, please also update the status page at
<http://incubator.apache.org/projects/easyant.html>. While I created
some initial content it is far from complete.
