[jira] Commented: (INFRA-2469) wikis powered by moinmoin can no longer be accessed using xmlrpc

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-2469?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12833043#action_12833043 ]

Erik Hatcher commented on INFRA-2469:
-------------------------------------

http://moinmo.in/MoinMoinQuestions/Administration says "Please check the remote wiki's wiki config for actions_excluded - the builtin default of it (actions_excluded = ['xmlrpc']) disables xmlrpc".

Where are our MoinMoin config files so I can poke around and look for this?

> At the beginnning of 2009 Lucid Imagination set up access to the various Wikis powered by moinmoin in order to index their contents for the Solr-powered search (http://www.lucidimagination.com/search). We are using a custom java client with XMLRPC to access the raw content
> this worked very well until some time in September (probably when some upgrades were being done to moinmoin). Since that time, all attempts to use the client to access moinmoin powered wikis have failed. We get the message
> org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: This moin wiki does not allow xmlrpc method calls. (the wikis include solr, lucene-java, and nutch)
> We'd like to be able to index them as we used to. Can the moinmoin configuration be changed to allow the use of XMLRPC again ?
