[jira] [Commented] (HBASE-8846) Revert the package name change for TableExistsException

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-8846?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13697556#comment-13697556 ]

Devaraj Das commented on HBASE-8846:
------------------------------------

MasterNotRunningException, ZooKeeperConnectionException are other cases where the package name is changed.

There were other cases where the application needed to be changed - for example, Put.setWriteToWAL(boolean) method is now not there. Am not convinced about this change.

Should we revert (or put back) some of the above?

> I was going through the code changes that were needed for getting an application that was running with hbase-0.92 run with hbase-0.95.
> TableExistsException's package has changed - hence, needs a code change in the application. Offline discussion with some folks led us to believe that this change can probably be reverted back.
