[juddi-Users] Open request for jUDDI feature ideas

jUDDI users and developers,

The jUDDI development team is interested to learn what features the jUDDI
list subscribers would like to see implemented in jUDDI? I have heard the
following from a few individuals this week already:

  1. An Admin or Management UI
  2. ValidateValues functionality for categories and identifiers
  3. Ability to publish and manage custom taxonomies
  4. A UDDI client API (this is already the works)
  5. Creation of a custom web service taxonomy (also in the works)

Are there any others?

Steve

MessageA thought that occurred to me was a set of UDDI (client) enabled ant
tasks. Why? So I could automate regression tests for a server each

Not sure I've thought this through, but "scriptable way to do UDDI against a
server" seems a great things. We've had some bug reports on our jUDDI server
& it'd be nice if each time we upgrade we could run a suite of regression
tests. (These aren't junit type tests, so ant -- which can allow some
"config" might be a good wrappers for commands, If not that, a scripting
language -- and/or a standard regression test suite.)

With ant you can leverage XML to pass configuration, e.g.

    <uddi url="http...." >
        <uddi-query findBusiness="XYZ" />
    ...

That sort of thing.

regards

Adam
