[jira] [Created] (SSHD-688) Attempt to send the welcome banner sooner in the authentication protocol

Goldstein Lyor created SSHD-688:
-----------------------------------

             Summary: Attempt to send the welcome banner sooner in the authentication protocol
                 Key: SSHD-688
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SSHD-688
             Project: MINA SSHD
          Issue Type: Improvement
    Affects Versions: 1.2.0
            Reporter: Goldstein Lyor
            Assignee: Goldstein Lyor

The current code sends ir *after* successful authentication. However, according to RFC-4252 section 5.4:
{quote}
The SSH server may send an SSH_MSG_USERAUTH_BANNER message at any time after this authentication protocol starts and before authentication is successful.
{quote}
By sending it sooner (perhaps at a configurable phase) it might be useful to display before the user authenticates
