[jira] [Created] (WHIRR-702) Hadoop service seems to have trouble during JDK install

Eli Reisman created WHIRR-702:
---------------------------------

Summary: Hadoop service seems to have trouble during JDK install
                 Key: WHIRR-702
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WHIRR-702
             Project: Whirr
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Eli Reisman

I think its related to the Debian UNIX "update-alternatives" shell command by which you choose a system-default JDK. In the end i think this is all still just maintained with softlinks, but will look into a more general method of selecting the default so that newer (than 10.04 anyway) Debian and other systems can survive this part of the install script.
