camera and microphone are not working
Hi,
I use Chrome, but when I click the camera icon in the conference room.
It says "NotAllowedError: Permission denied by system".
It is the same for the microphone icon.
How could I solve this problem?

Problem solved. It is a Macbook permission issue.

Even I have been facing this issue on apple devices. I have a few students using ipad and somehow there's no audio video on thir devices, nor do they hear anything. Any special settings to be done?
It works perfectly fine on other devices like android, linux and windows. Pls guide me the changes to make.

It takes many days to get support for commercial products, even with a maintenance contract.
Placing a Question in this Forum brings up helpfull info in less than 12 h.
I also forwarded this to the customer. Hopefully he will test and give Feedback.

I'm using Mac. With Chrome/Firefox/Safari
The only known issue for me is no audio input on Safari.
You can playback videos in Safari fine. But microphone input on Safari seems broken. It doesn't attach it to the stream. Although the OS and permissions are fine.
So if you are using Safari, you may want to try Chrome.

We do have couple iMacs (pretty much old and outdated) IF it is reproducible on one of them ...
I doubt I can do anything without being able to reproduce this :(
As i do not earn enough money to buy a Mac Book (and if i would i’d not buy a Mac Book anyway 😉 ) i can not test this.

unfortunately this is not really solution
and for different issue :)
"autoplay" is now disabled by default in many browsers
i'm sure this should be handled correctly

So i’d say that a problem with safari can be confirmed.

I'm using Mac. With Chrome/Firefox/Safari
The only known issue for me is no audio input on Safari.
You can playback videos in Safari fine. But microphone input on Safari seems broken. It doesn't attach it to the stream. Although the OS and permissions are fine.
So if you are using Safari, you may want to try Chrome.

I wonder why open software has such a bad standing in the IT world.
It takes many days to get support for commercial products, even with a maintenance contract.
Placing a Question in this Forum brings up helpfull info in less than 12 h.
I also forwarded this to the customer. Hopefully he will test and give Feedback.

i just tested with a customer using a brand new Mac Book 2020.
Video worked perfect but no audio, allthough he told me, that he gave the permissions? (Must believe him …)
I wonder how to solve this issue?
As i do not earn enough money to buy a Mac Book (and if i would i’d not buy a Mac Book anyway 😉 ) i can not test this.
Any help with this issue? How can i try to fix this problem?
He tested with FaceTime and zoom and there’s video and audio in both of them.
