[jira] [Commented] (LUCENENET-492) Investigate Improvements to Sharpen for 4.0 conversion

Shad Storhaug commented on LUCENENET-492:
-----------------------------------------

The blog post is now gone, but according to the URL this appears to be about Android. With the adaption of .NET Standard 1.5 we now support Xamarin.Android and Xamarin.iOS (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/standard/net-standard) as of Lucene.Net 4.8.0. It is unclear if that is enough to cover this issue (for example, I don't think that includes Xamarin.Forms).

Also, we need volunteers to verify all aspects of Xamarin.Android and Xamarin.iOS support are working correctly. I assume a small number of the beta testers belong to this group, but there is no way to tell from the NuGet download stats what platform is targeted so it is impossible for us tell if this is being tested without explicit feedback from users.
