configure error

hi all,
i am currently trying to build the CVS version of Apache 
httpd-2.0, the following is the problem:

./buildconf 
[...] - works fine

./configure
[...] - works fine till
line 9814 : redirection unexpected

i had a look at the configure script, and it had a blank 
line on line 9814.
