[jira] Created: (INFRA-3517) Can we strip trailing comma from Jira's labels (eg, 'gsoc2011,' --> 'gsoc2011')

Can we strip trailing comma from Jira's labels (eg, 'gsoc2011,' --> 'gsoc2011')
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: INFRA-3517
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-3517
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
          Components: JIRA
            Reporter: Michael McCandless

We've been marking issues with label gsoc2011:

    https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&jqlQuery=labels+%3D+%22gsoc2011%22

But, because we sometimes use a comma to separate multiple labels, and Jira apparently doesn't strip this out, we have other issues accidentally marked with gsoc2011, (note extra comma at the end):

    https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&jqlQuery=labels+%3D+%22gsoc2011%2C%22

This is really confusing, and will cause potential GSoC students to not find all possible projects....

Ulrich Stärk commented on INFRA-3517:
-------------------------------------

Just remove the 'gsoc2011,' label and add the correct one. I took the liberty to do that...
