[jira] [Commented] (KAFKA-13809) FileStreamSinkConnector and FileStreamSourceConnector should propagate full configuration to tasks

Chris Egerton commented on KAFKA-13809:
---------------------------------------
[~durban] FWIW this would actually still serve some value as long as https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-9228 is open since the only known workaround (which just happens to be implemented by nearly every connector out there _except_ for the file stream connectors) is exactly what's proposed here.

> Key: KAFKA-13809
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-13809
> Project: Kafka
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: KafkaConnect
> Reporter: Daniel Urban
> Priority: Major
>
> The 2 example connectors do not propagate the full connector configuration to the tasks. This makes it impossible to override built-in configs, such as producer/consumer overrides.
> This causes an issue even when used for testing purposes.
