Username token without password

Hi,

 

WS-Security policy for Username token doesn't mandate the presence of
password field, one of the use cases for this could be using Username
token as signed supporting token.

 

From WSS-username-token-profile-1.0

>> 

/wsse:UsernameToken/wsse:Password

This optional element provides password information (or equivalent such
as a hash). It is

RECOMMENDED that this element only be passed when a secure transport
(e.g.

HTTP/S) is being used or if the token itself is being encrypted.

Rampart & WSS4J doesn't seem to support it?  What you people think about
it?
