RE: poi 3.0

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone knew if the poi 3.0 distribution may move from
alpha status to final any time soon. Any estimates / speculations on the
timing of this event would be appreciated.

Cheers, Thomas

Follow the download link from the POI homepage, pick a mirror, then look
in the dev directory, under either bin or src

eg http://www.mirror.ac.uk/mirror/ftp.apache.org/jakarta/poi/dev/bin/

I don't think there's any great plans to do a final release. If you're
interested in the reasoning, then see the list archives around the time of
the 3.0 alpha 2 votes.

If 3.0 alpha 2 works for you, use it. If it doesn't, send in bug reports
until it does.
