Dependencies:
https://github.com/apache/couchdb/blob/trunk/INSTALL.Unix

Git:
Read-only git mirrors at http://git.apache.org/
Also, many devs have github accounts for their personal forks and
there's an apache one at github.com/apache/couchdb.
