Seems like I was a bit quick with just removing that switch -- see "Re: svn 
commit: rev 30793 - spamassassin/trunk/spamc" on the dev list. 
 
This all will change for 3.1, but we needa aconsensus for 3.0, so, let's vote 
on this. The alternatives are: 
1. Revert my patch, break building for non-gcc users again. 
2. Keep the current state without warnings, fix it for 3.1. 
3. Try to add some autoconf magic now, don't post-pone it for 3.1. 
 
My votes: 
 -1 on 1 
 +1 on 2  
 +0.5 on 3 as that might introduce further bugs.
