connector binary
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=44959
Summary: Could not configure or make Tomcat connector binary
Product: Tomcat 6
Version: 6.0.16
Platform: PC
URL: http://209.126.158.115
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: critical
Priority: P1
Component: Connectors
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org

Greetings,
Installed on the server is Turbo Linux, Apache version 1.3.27-43, java version
"1.6.0", the connector version is tomcat-connectors-1.2.26-src, and Tomcat ver
6.0.16. I would get an error message:
"./configure: line 3803: unexpected EOF while looking for matching ``'
./configure: line 3807: syntax error: unexpected end of file" when I run this
command " ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs". Please help.
I also tried the binary file "mod_jk-1.2.26-httpd-1.3.39-eapi.so", but it does
not work with Apache.
This is the error meassage:
"Syntax error on line 3 of
/usr/java/apache-tomcat-6.0.16/conf/auto/mod_jk.conf:
Cannot load /usr/libexec/apache/mod_jk-1.2.26-httpd-1.3.39-eapi.so into server:
/lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by
/usr/libexec/apache/mod_jk-1.2.26-httpd-1.3.39-eapi.so)"
Thank you in advance for all your help.
Best regards,
Tomsoo

This looks like a configuration issue rather than a bug to me.
Configuration issues are best handled on the users list so please re-post your
question there. If that discussion concludes there is a bug then please re-open
this issue and add the details of the bug.
