[users@httpd] Seeing Bus Errors in main error log file

Hallo,

has anybody an idea what is causing *Bus Errors* in Apache?

We are running:
	apache 1.3.33 on solaris 8
	with PHP and Mod_Perl

I find a couple of entries like these in our main error log:
[Fri Aug 19 01:01:03 2005] [notice] child pid 4819 exit signal Bus Error (10)
[Fri Aug 19 01:03:47 2005] [notice] child pid 4791 exit signal Bus Error (10)
[Fri Aug 19 01:35:29 2005] [notice] child pid 4823 exit signal Bus Error (10)
[Fri Aug 19 02:30:56 2005] [notice] child pid 4792 exit signal Bus Error (10)
(just an example of friday, we encounter this problem dayly!)

Any hint is welcome!

Unfortunately these dead slots get no new forked process. We encounter
therefore more and more load on less and less server processes.
