Is OSGI a good choice?

hi,

I have some questions about OSGI,
What? What should be done (business/technical need?)
Why? why should OSGI be done? does it make anything better?
Who? who should do it?
Where? hardware/software requirements
When? during project or for a completely new project? or can a project be
customized later to osgi model? can it be connected to other systems ......

plz help me,

best regards.

If you have the need for stronger modularity (i.e., separation and
encapsulation) than Java currently provides or better support
module/component deployment or support for dynamically extensible
systems, then OSGi technology is something you should look into. If none
of these areas are concerns for you, then probably neither is OSGi.

The actual requirements for OSGi are pretty minimal, about a 350k JAR file.

Certainly new projects should consider using OSGi technology, but it is
possible to migrate existing applications too, the difficulty is only
related to how much and in which ways your existing code messes with
class loaders.
