problem with Configuring charset in Scandinavia

Hi!

We use james 2.2 in Scandinavia. We have 3 special characters and when any
mail using these characters goes through james we get ???? for those
characters. HOWEVER, the subject line shows the characters correctly but not
the body of the mail.

I tried to send it as html, then in the body of the mail I get other
alphabets!!

If I could set charset to utf-8 then it should not happen.

How do I do this?

Many thanks

Hi!

I apologize for my ignorance, but does that mean I have download the scr and
change something like this:

msg.setContent(message,"text/html;charset=\"UTF-8\"");

in the source file and compile james?

These are questions really for the javamail library, as James relies on
that Sun standard. Some decent resources:

http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/
(JAVAMAIL-INTEREST@JAVA.SUN.COM)
http://www.jguru.com/faq/JavaMail
