[jira] [Created] (DRILL-2407) Sqlline-query from non-existing M7 or
hbase table gives NPE instead of real error
Krystal created DRILL-2407:
------------------------------
Summary: Sqlline-query from non-existing M7 or hbase table gives NPE instead of real error
Key: DRILL-2407
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-2407
Project: Apache Drill
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Client - CLI
Affects Versions: 0.8.0
Reporter: Krystal
Assignee: Daniel Barclay (Drill)
git.commit.id=f658a3c513ddf7f2d1b0ad7aa1f3f65049a594fe
"Select * " from non-existing tables from hbase fail with NPE:
0: jdbc:drill:schema=hbase> select * from blah;
Query failed: NullPointerException:
Error: exception while executing query: Failure while executing query. (state=,code=0)
This affect M7 tables. The server needs to return more clearer error similar to other storages such as "table x does not exist".
